Build the public baseline, then make better choices easier.

The project starts with visible scores and source-backed claims. Later phases add smaller-company standards, improvement pathways, consumer tools, and public competitions grounded in verified evidence.

Phase 1 — Rank major companies

  • Establish a public baseline of scores
  • Create visibility and pressure

Phase 1a — Research missions and donated compute

  • Publish Research Missions so contributors can gather source-backed claims now
  • Design Donate Compute as a local worker for user-provided API or local LLM time
  • Use donated compute for evidence discovery, extraction, deduplication, translation, and conflict checks, not final scoring
  • Add public review-queue transparency so submissions, rejections, accepted claims, and score-impacting changes are visible
  • Keep final score changes tied to verified evidence and reviewer approval

Phase 2 — Develop small-company standards

  • Build a second rubric for human-scale firms
  • Capture interpersonal power and negotiation dynamics

Phase 3 — Enable companies to improve

  • Publish clear pathways to higher scores
  • Offer guidance and verification

Phase 3a — S-tier Portal Organizations

  • Define S-tier Portal Organizations as rare, verified organizations that help people move into healthier economic and social systems
  • Require a high A rating under the standard rubric
  • Require human verification or auditing; AI-only entries cannot qualify
  • Require active support for alternative economies and lifestyles, without coercion, group pressure, identity capture, or invasive pressure on users or workers
  • Require high productivity and broad usefulness, not merely boutique or symbolic virtue
  • Require an accessible public product or service, ideally online, offered without discrimination or elite gatekeeping

Phase 4 — Consumer integration

  • Make it easy to choose Good companies
  • Build tools, directories, filters, and integrations for everyday use

Phase 5 — Good Business Olympics

  • A recurring, broadcast-style competition featuring the highest-scoring companies
  • Include head-to-head comparisons, sector finals, and most-improved awards
  • Base outcomes strictly on scores and verified evidence
  • Design the event for public viewing while preserving methodological rigor
